Pack for a Purpose does not condone visiting orphanages, as this can often lead to negative impacts on children. The accommodation or tour company working with the orphanage will deliver the supplies in a coordinated and respectful way so that the children can benefit from them. Your generosity is not diminished because you do not interact with the children.

Project Description
At Where It All Began, our involvement with Capricorn Primary School is two-fold. In line with what the Head, Mrs. Barnard, asked of us, we provide personal hygiene packs for the most needy children in the school who cannot afford basics like toothpaste, soap, shampoo, etc. Additionally, we also provide ten school fees scholarships a year, two for hardship, four for excellence and four for achievement.

Clothing/Shoes:
New or Gently Used Children’s Clothing and New or Gently Used Children’s Shoes
Health/Personal Grooming:
Bars of Soap, Combs, Deodorant, Hair Brushes, Hair Pins and Elastic Hair Bands, Hand Cream, Multivitamin Tablets, Shampoos, Toothbrushes, Toothpaste, and Washing Powder
