Project Description
Lifting Hands is an educational center for children and adults of the El Bajo de Los Anonos community located in San José, Costa Rica. Volunteers teach various classes and workshops to children as an after school program to keep kids off the streets, where negative influences are more prevalent. Classes and workshops for adults focus on creating employment opportunities and teaching healthy lifestyle practices in the home. Classes range from English, computers, and mathematics to arts, dance, yoga, cooking, swimming, physical education, Jiu Jitsu, and more.
